According to Pete Evans of London 24, West Ham defender James Collins is set to exit the club. The centre-back is deemed to be surplus to Slaven Bilic’s requirements, and Queens Park Rangers have been reportedly interested in signing him, according to the Daily Mail.
Collins has not played a single minute of Premier League football thus far, although he did feature in the short spell in the UEFA Europa League qualification rounds, where he saw red. He was favoured by previous manager Sam Allardyce, but is struggling for game time at the moment.
With the recent arrival of Angelo Ogbonna from Juventus, competition for places is rather large. Reece Burke has already departed the club, joining Bradford City on loan.
There have been various links with regards to players moving to and from West Ham and Queens Park Rangers, including Robert Green, Matt Jarvis and Charlie Austin. Joey Barton, who was released by the latter earlier in the summer, could make a shock move to the Boleyn Ground however.
