It has been confirmed by the club that Reece Burke has joined League One side Bradford City on a one month loan deal. The Englishman follows the footsteps of fellow youngsters Moses Makasi and Diego Poyet, having been loaned out to lower leagues in order to gain some valuable first team football.
Burke was impressive for the Hammers as he featured in the early qualification rounds of the Europa League, keeping a clean sheet in the first match of the season at home to Andorran side FC Lusitans.
Former manager Sam Allardyce also saw potential in the 18-year-old, as Burke conceded just one goal in his first three Premier League games during the latter stages of the 2014/15 campaign.
However, Slaven Bilic has decided that he would rather the central defender joined lower league opposition on loan, as opposed to keeping him in the U21 Development Squad.
Bradford were impressive in the FA Cup last season, including a 4-2 win at Stamford Bridge which was arguably the biggest upset in the history of the competition.
