Chelmsford City have confirmed the signing of promising West Ham youngster Moses Makasi on a months loan.
The 19-year-old central midfielder will get some game time under his belt in the Vanarama National League South for the Clarets over the next several weeks.
Makasi was straight into the action as he was involved in City’s 4-0 win against at home against Hayes and Yeading, assisting the first goal as his free kick in the opening few minutes was put into the opposition’s own net.
He signed his first professional deal with West Ham last summer, and is yet to make a first-team appearance for the club in his time, but made 13 appearances for the Development Squad last season, and is highly-regarded within the club.
The young midfielder follows in the footsteps of his academy team-mate Jaanai Gordon, as the striker spent the early part of 2015 on loan with Chelmsford, scoring five goals in 10 games before the expiry of his loan deal.
