West Ham have already made their mark in Ligue 1 with the signing of Dimitri Payet from Marseille, but could be looking to dip into the talent pool once again.
The Hammers are reportedly interested in two starlets from AS Saint-Étienne, forwards Jonathon Bamba and Dylan Saint-Louis.
Bamba, 19, and Saint-Louis, 20, both can play as a striker as well as a winger.
The two forwards would not be an immediate impact in West Ham’s squad like the signing of Payet, but would be a key addition to the West Ham Academy. While Slaven Bilic has proven he is not afraid to play youngsters in the Europa League, after the Hammer’s early bow out, a spot in the first team for the two Frenchman could be hard to come by at first in East London.
However, the versatility of both players, able to play across the forward line, is a good trait to have. Both players have a tremendous potential and could make an impact in spot performances like Martin Samuelsen has for the Hammers early this season.
West Ham, the Academy of Football, could be bagging up two promising French forwards with the signing of forwards Jonathon Bamba and Dylan Saint-Louis from one of the best youth academies in France, Saint-Étienne.
