West Ham will attempt an audacious swoop to sign forward Jese Rodriguez on loan from Real Madrid this summer, claims Fichajes.
The Spaniard enjoyed a breakout year at the Bernabeu last season, but it was cut short due to a torn ACL mid-March in the Champions League, and has been on the fringes of the first-team squad since his return to football in December 2014.
“I had a very tough time, but I think that things in life happen for a reason. Maybe I had the injury because I needed to learn and become a more mature footballer.” – Jese on his injury.
Able to operate from the left, and also as a central striker or in-behind as a creator, the 22-year-old is expected to leave Real in the summer on loan to see if he can once again hit the heights of the first few months of last season.
A loan move to a competitive West Ham side, who could be playing in the Europa League courtesy of the Fair Play League next season, could be the best opportunity for Jese to get vital game time in a strong league before a possible return to Real.
