West Ham United have exercised their option to complete the permanent signing of Keiber Lamadrid from Deportivo La Guaira, turning the Venezuela international’s loan into a full transfer on Saturday.
The Hammers confirmed the move on 20 June, making Lamadrid part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad beyond the initial short-term agreement that brought him to east London in January.
The 22-year-old winger arrived from Supercopa de Venezuela holders Deportivo La Guaira with an option for West Ham to keep him permanently in the summer, and the club have now activated that clause, according to West Ham United’s official announcement.
Lamadrid deal adds another piece to West Ham’s summer rebuild
Lamadrid’s profile makes this more than an administrative update. West Ham’s own player biography lists him as a Caracas-born wide player who had already made more than 100 senior appearances for Deportivo La Guaira before moving to England, including 95 in Venezuela’s Primera Division.
He was also named the Venezuelan top flight’s best Under-23 player for 2025 after recording eight goals and six assists in 33 matches.
For West Ham, the decision gives the club a young, permanent attacking option before pre-season begins in earnest. For Lamadrid, it removes uncertainty after his loan and gives him a clearer route to fight for minutes across a summer in which the forward line remains under scrutiny.
