Opinion: David Moyes must go full strength for difficult EPL clash

West Ham now only have two remaining fronts to fight on having been eliminated from the FA Cup in midweek.

The Hammers are still fighting for a place in the Premier League top four as well as preparing for a Europa League meeting with serial winners Sevilla.

Whilst many may be urging David Moyes to consider team selection with one eye looking ahead to that European clash, the trip to Anfield presents an opportunity to complete a rare double and make up domestic ground.

Following the loss to Southampton, Moyes confirmed there is ‘concern’ over the head injury suffered to Tomas Soucek, as well as an issue with Aaron Cresswell.

However, both Ryan Fredericks and Arthur Masuaku are returning to full fitness ahead of the trip to Merseyside.

Here’s how we think the Irons will lineup…

READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Predicted XI: Lukasz Fabianski; Ryan Fredericks, Kurt Zouma, Craig Dawson; Ben Johnson, Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek, Manuel Lanzini; Pablo Fornals, Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio.

Predicted Subs: Alphonse Areola, Arthur Masuaku, Alex Kral, Mark Noble, Issa Diop, Said Benrahma, Sonny Perkins, Armstrong Okoflex, Aji Alese.

It would be easy to take a cautious approach for this one and focus on fitness given the quality of title-chasers Liverpool, but in truth, the race for the top four doesn’t allow for any let-up.

This is somewhat of a free-hit for the Hammers who will need Jarrod Bowen, Declan Rice and Michail Antonio to be on top form to get a result at Anfield.
