West Ham icon left ‘bitterly disappointed’ by transfer window

West Ham have been the topic of much debate since the January transfer window closed having failed to sign a single player.

Albeit the Hammers weren’t the only side that chose not to strengthen the ranks, the general consensus would appear to be that an opportunity may have been squandered.

Clearly in need of at least one striker to aid Michail Antonio and a centre-back to cover for the loss of Angelo Ogbonna, David Moyes has been left short on options for the remainder of the season.

Former Irons’ frontman Tony Cottee took to social media to join the chorus of displeasure around the inactive window.

Cottee certainly isn’t alone in those thoughts and has echoed the feelings of most supporters at least.

Back on the pitch, the Hammers face Kidderminster Harriers in the FA Cup fourth round.

READ WEST HAM VERDICT

Another month of continuous links to the likes of Liverpool defender Nat Phillips, Blackburn Rovers ace Ben Brereton Diaz and Marseille defender Duje Caleta-Car – without a single arrival.

Whilst Moyes has defied the odds throughout the duration of his second spell in charge in East London, guiding this squad to a top-four finish with the added stress of the Europa League action seems nigh on impossible.
