West Ham are reportedly weighing up a move for Bayer Leverkusen striker Patrik Schick as the January transfer window approaches.
The 25-year-old has been an elite performer for some time now and could be the man to support Michail Antonio at the London Stadium.
Irons’ boss David Moyes is expected to bolster the attacking ranks and could turn to yet another Czech Republic international in order to do so.
That’s according to a report from The Mirror, as cited by Daily Star Sport on Twitter, claiming that the Hammers could target Schick to resolve the lack of depth at centre-forward.

The report claims that West Ham have ‘identified’ the 33-cap ace and will need to cough up £40million to make the deal happen.
So far this season, the man once hailed as a ‘genius’ by Jaroslav Silhavy has scored 16 times and provided three assists in just 14 Bundesliga appearances.

Valued at £36million and under contract in Germany until 2025 (Transfermarkt), paying the mooted £40million would still represent superb value for money.
Albeit an expensive outlay, especially in mid-season, Schick’s quality, physical presence and record would make the Czech ace an outstanding addition to the West Ham squad.
Boasting impressive finishing and aerial ability, at 6’2 it’s clear to see why Moyes would be drawn to bringing the former AS Roma man to the London Stadium.
