West Ham favourite Carlton Cole has been embroiled in a heated debate whilst defending the Irons this week.
Cole played for Chelsea, Celtic, Aston Villa and Charlton Athletic during a distinguished playing career, but it was the 67 goals in claret and blue where the frontman truly made his name.
The ex-Irons’ striker wasn’t afraid to pull any punches on the field and has continued in the same vein during a delve into punditry.
Appearing on talkSPORT with former Chelsea man Jason Cundy, the 37-year-old was upset when it was suggested West Ham needed to win a trophy to become a ‘big club’.
Following the video, Cole took to his personal Twitter account and simply put: “A few ruffled feathers.”

Only Cundy’s former employers can truly hold the crown as the ‘biggest club in London’ given Arsenal and Tottenham’s dramatic fall from grace in recent times.
It could certainly be argued that east London currently houses a bigger club than the north of the city.
Regardless of status, it’s currently David Moyes’ side that are surpassing Spurs and the Gunners in both domestic and European matters.
Long may it continue and good on Cole for shutting down the nonsense.
