West Ham are reportedly attempting to ‘push through’ a loan move for Juventus defender Luca Pellegrini before tonight’s transfer deadline.
The Hammers face competition from Sampdoria for the Italy international but remain hopeful a deal can be done before the end of the summer transfer window.
Irons’ boss David Moyes has been keen to find cover for the evergreen Aaron Cresswell and was heavily linked with a move for Junior Firpo prior to the full-back’s switch to Leeds United.
Now, according to a report from Tuttosport, as cited by Louis (West Ham Central) on Twitter, the East London club are attempting to complete a loan move for the 22-year-old.

Pellegrini has been on the bench for the opening two Serie A fixtures for Juventus having returned from a season-long loan spell at Genoa last term.
Capped once at senior level by Italy, the marauding full-back struggled with injuries last season – missing 25 matches throughout the campaign.

Signing the Roma-born starlet on loan for the season would be an invaluable coup for the Hammers.
Despite Cresswell’s ongoing form at the top level, given the increased demands with Europa League football, Moyes will want to rest and rotate the entire squad whenever possible.
Valued at £8.10million and under contract until 2025 at the Allianz Stadium (Transfermarkt), West Ham would be landing a high-quality operator with the potential to challenge for a starting berth.
