West Ham are believed to remain ‘hopeful’ a deal for Jesse Lingard can be struck before the transfer deadline.
The Hammers have seemingly been pursuing a deal for the 28-year-old throughout the summer following a hugely successful loan spell at the London Stadium last season.
Despite being talked about as part of the plans at Old Trafford, the Irons could still make a move happen this month.
According to a report from Football Insider, as cited on Twitter, the East London club continue to push for the transfer.

The imminent arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo may have a further adverse impact on Lingard’s opportunities in Manchester.
Last season the 29 cap ace failed to make a single Premier League appearance for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side prior to joining West Ham in January.

Could lightning be about to strike twice?
David Moyes could soon be blessed with ample options in the attacking midfield department as Nikola Vlasic nears an arrival from CSKA Moscow.
Whilst any move for Lingard would excite fans no end, there are question marks over whether it’s still a necessity.
Perhaps a late swoop for a recognised striker to support Michail Antonio would be the wiser focus.
