West Ham are reportedly ‘moving forwards’ in their pursuit of Montpellier striker Gaetan Laborde.
The 27-year-old has been on the radar in east London ever since Sebastien Haller left the club back in January.
Now, the Hammers could be reigniting their interest as David Moyes looks to sign an additional forward option before the end of the transfer window in eight days time.
According to a report from reputable French newspaper L’Equipe, as cited by Sport Witness on Twitter, the Irons are in direct competition with Sevilla for the ace.

The report cites the Ligue 1 clubs confirmation that West Ham have indeed made contact with the 21-cap French youth international’s representatives.
Laborde has made a bright start to the 2021/22 campaign with two goals in three league outings from right-wing – backing up 24 goal contributions last season.

Currently valued at a career-high £13.5million and under contract until 2023 in France (Transfermarkt), West Ham would certainly be striking whilst the iron is hot.
Boasting a plethora of prominent attacking attributes, Laborde’s added versatility make the ace an ideal candidate to strengthen the options afforded to Moyes.
Capable of operating on either wing and as a central striker, the Frenchman would offer support to Jarrod Bowen, Said Benrahma, Pablo Fornals and Michail Antonio.
