West Ham have reportedly submitted an offer for Fiorentina central defender Nikola Milenkovic.
The Hammers are in search of additional defensive options following the departure of Fabian Balbuena as a free agent.
Having failed in multiple attempts to land James Tarkowski last summer, Irons boss David Moyes is determined to land a top target this time around.
According to journalist Ekrem Konur on Twitter, the east London club have made their first move for a possible option.

The 23-year-old Serbian defender has risen to prominence in the last three Serie A seasons following a move from Partizan Belgrade in 2017.
Capped 28 times at international senior level, Milenkovic was dubbed as an ‘extraordinary’ player by club teammate Pol Lirola in April.
Last season the versatile ace scored three in 34 league appearances – earning an average Sofascore rating of 6.96 in the process.

Valued at £22.5million and in the final 12 months of a contract in Florence (Transfermarkt), the reported bid would surely be difficult to refuse.
Albeit a player worth far more than £14million in terms of ability and promise, this summer represents the final chance for Fiorentina to land a reasonable fee.
Capable of operating at centre-back and right-back, Milenkovic would also provide cover to Vladimir Coufal at the London Stadium.
