Former Premier League midfielder Don Hutchinson has lauded the performance of West Ham midfielder Declan Rice following the Euro 2020 final.
Despite suffering defeat on penalties against Italy, the 22-year-old midfielder was superb on the night before being replaced late on.
Faced by an impressive Italian midfield trio, Rice shone for the Three Lions and got the better of his counterparts time and time again.
After the match, Hutchinson took to Twitter to praise the Hammer following what was a heartbreaking defeat.

Overall, Rice won 11 of 15 duels on the night, winning one interception and six tackles in the process of earning a 7.20 Sofascore rating.
The form shown during the European Championships followed another impressive coming of age campaign for the Irons’ midfielder.
Often taking the captains armband in the absence of Mark Noble from David Moyes’ side, Rice scored twice and made one assist in 32 Premier League outings.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
No England player has let their nation down over the last four weeks, but few have made the impression Rice has managed, in particular during the final.
As the hosts began to take control of proceedings, the West Ham star was always on the scene to break up play and more importantly, carry the side forwards.
After a much-needed rest, Rice should return to his club teammates and prepare for another big domestic campaign in east London.
