Former Wolves striker Don Goodman has hailed West Ham number one Lukasz Fabianski as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League.
The Polish stopper was in inspired form as the Hammers secured a spot in next season’s Europa League with a 3-0 victory over Southampton on Sunday at the London Stadium.
That success in front of 10,000 adoring Irons meant David Moyes’ side finished sixth in the Premier League – the club’s highest finish for 20 years.
Despite the comfortable scoreline, speaking on Sky One’s live coverage of the match, Goodman heaped praise on the 36-year-old stopper’s fine display.
Fabianski shows all his quality. What a spring that is to his left, it’s a wonderful save. The way he pushes off, good strong hand. There’s no question in my mind he’s one of the best goalkeepers, right up there with the best in the Premier League.
The 55-cap Poland international earned an outstanding 8.0 Sofascore rating for the performance – making five saves and completing one clearance.
This season Fabianski has made 37 outings in all competitions, missing six games through various injury issues.

Although this is a huge claim given some of the illustrious company in the upper echelons of goalkeeper in the Premier League, Fabianski is rightly in the conversation.
Despite his advancing years, the Pole has remained consistent throughout the campaign and has rarely put a foot out of place for the Irons.
Having said all of that, there remains speculation Moyes could sign Sam Johnstone from West Brom this summer – a move that could oust Fabianski as the first choice in east London.
