West Ham have discovered Blackburn Rovers’ summer demands for striker Adam Armstrong, according to a report from Football League World.
The report claims the Championship club will be willing to accept ‘under £20m’ for the 24-year-old who has 19 league goals this season.
It’s also stated that the Hammers aren’t alone in their interest, as Armstrong’s former club Newcastle United are keen to reunite with the in-form marksman.
David Moyes will certainly be in the market for a frontman ahead of next season, having allowed Sebastien Haller to leave in January without replacing the Ivorian.
That decision has put immense pressure on Michail Antonio to stay fit, with alternative makeshift options filling in where necessary.
Armstrong’s future has been a hot topic in recent times with the Irons’ interest well documented, whilst Rovers manager Tony Mowbray has been open about the difficulty in retaining the ace should they fail to earn promotion.

Having previously mooted a £30m price tag the sudden drop in demand is perhaps a combination of the realisation Blackburn are unlikely to earn promotion, as well as Armstrong’s dwindling contract situation.
Whatever the rationale, this could come as a massive boost for the Hammers who could perceivably land the prolific second-tier star for less than originally thought, leaving funds available elsewhere.
As for Newcastle’s interest, with their own Premier League status somewhat in doubt, the Irons could well see a clear route to the striker come to the end of the campaign.
