West Ham have had another young striker’s name thrown in contention for a move to the London Stadium, according to an update from ExWHUEmployee.
It seems that the Irons’ Scottish manager David Moyes is looking to his homeland after the insider source linked Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard as a target for the Hammers.
The insider claims that there is ‘less reason’ for the Hoops to hold on to Edouard – opening the door for West Ham to try for an agreement with Celtic.
ExWHUemployee added that an agent has emailed him and suggested that Edouard is on a shortlist of forward options for West Ham. This source has supposedly been ‘involved’ in trying to bring ‘numerous targets’ to the London Stadium.
The French Guiana-born ex-PSG academy product is a France youth international and has been a regular outlet of goals for the current Scottish champions, with 72 in 151 games for the Hoops.
With Edouard’s contract set to expire in 2022, the Glasgow giants may be considering cashing in on the £13.5m-rated man whilst they are still able to leverage his contract situation.

The 6 foot 2 (1.87m) striker certainly possesses promising attributes to fill a target man-style role up front for the Hammers. Having already managed seven goals and four assists in just 15 games this season alone, Edouard is nothing short of efficient.
However, the step up in quality to the Premier League under a new system of playing raises some elements of risk. If West Ham can agree a fee in the region of his valuation, though, missing out on Edouard may be a greater risk in itself, given their sparsity of centre-forward options.
