West Ham Fans React as Robert Snodgrass Linked with West Brom Loan

West Ham could see their experienced Scottish winger Robert Snodgrass leave for midlands side West Brom in this month’s transfer window.

According to the Express & Star, Sam Allardyce’s relegation contenders are acutely aware of how vital this month’s transfer window is for revitalising the squad.

Snodgrass is one option being examined ahead of a possible move.

The winger, who signed for £10.2 million from Hull City, is 33 years old and is out of contract in the summer.

He has enjoyed previous success in the midlands, having joined the Baggies’ midlands rivals Aston Villa on loan in 2017.

The winger, noted as a set-piece expert, has won 28 caps and scored seven goals for the Scotland national team before announcing his retirement from international football in 2019.

Potentially opening the path up to a future free transfer to the Baggies, any loan deal would be indicative of the Hammers cutting their losses on Snodgrass.

Shaving off part or the whole of his wages off the Hammers’ expenditure could free up funds for investment elsewhere.

West Ham fans were conflicted over what the Hammers veteran could add to their side, though some saw value in his experience. Hammers took to Twitter to voice their opinion…
