Liverpool make contact with Jeremy Ngakia’s agent

West Ham full-back Jeremy Ngakia is, as it stands, going to be a free agent in just over two weeks’ time and interest in the teenager seems to be hotting up.

A source has exclusively told our sister-site Read Liverpool that the Reds are one of the clubs who have been in contact with Ngakia’s representatives.

However, they report that the Reds are unlikely to make an offer to the teenager after hearing that he’s looking to go somewhere where he will be able to play regular first-team football and with Trent Alexander-Arnold at Anfield, that would be highly unlikely at Anfield.

Whilst it looks like Ngakia won’t be moving to the champions-elect, Tottenham have apparently contacted the teenager too and with their right-back issues, there could well be first-team opportunities for him there.

West Ham are still seemingly working to keep the player but with two weeks before his contract expires, time is seemingly running out.

It seems odd that Ngakia is considering a move away for regular first-team action as he’s getting that at West Ham now, but there could be more to this than we know.

It will be a huge blow for West Ham to lose the teenager, and losing him to Tottenham of all teams could be an even bigger kick in the teeth for Hammers’ fans.

matchday.
