West Ham fans make feelings known over reported summer transfer budget

These West Ham United fans have reacted to a report claiming boss David Moyes will be handed £40m to spend on new players this summer.

Sky Sports News claim that the former Manchester United and Real Sociedad man will be given the amount to bring in some new faces this summer.

Moyes returned for a second stint in charge of the Hammers in December after replacing Manuel Pellegrini, but the Scottish coach has not been able to improve results, meaning the threat of relegation is still very much alive.

Sitting 16th in the Premier League standings, the East London side will be hoping they can improve results when football returns following the recent extended break.

Since returning in December, Moyes has already spent significantly, bringing in Darren Randolph for £4m from Middlesbrough, Tomas Soucek on loan from Slavia Prague, and Jarrod Bowen from Hull City for a £22m fee.

Recent links of a summer move for Martin Braithwaite of Barcelona have emerged, whilst Sky Sports have now added that Moyes will have a budget of £40m.

That figure could vary depending on whether or not West Ham continue in the Premier League, but fans have been left baffled by the somewhat lowly figure.

Reacting via social media, these Hammers fans have reacted in similar manner and below are just some of the latest posts on Twitter.
