Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling will miss Manchester City’s clash with West Ham this weekend, according to Standard Sport.
The winger picked up a hamstring injury during City’s 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday, and will now miss the visit of the Hammers.
It comes at an okay time for Man City, however, with City having a two-week winter break after the clash with West Ham.
Sterling has been key for City so far this season, despite Pep Guardiola’s side being miles away from runaway leaders Liverpool in the table. He has 11 goals so far this season, in 22 appearances for the reigning champions.

David Moyes side face a tough task this weekend, but the absence of a player with the quality of Sterling could potentially be a boost for his team.
Sterling possesses a huge amount of talent, as shown by his 11 goals so far this season. However, City could show their incredible strength in depth, with Guardiola able to call upon Bernando Silva or Gabriel Jesus to replace the Englishman.
Therefore, his absence will be a boost, but in our opinion, West Ham may struggle to get a good result at City because of their poor away record this season.
Moyes has only picked up one win in the league since taking over, and a trip to the Etihad looks the last occasion where he will pick up a second.
Manchester United and Wolves are the only teams to get a result at the Etihad, and West Ham are nowhere near either team in the table.
The Hammers have picked up three away wins themselves, but they have come against Watford, Southampton and Chelsea, with the first two sides both struggling when West Ham visited.
Therefore, unfortunately, it is unlikely Sterling’s absence makes much difference to the result this weekend.
