Both West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have been heavily linked with Inter Milan striker Gabriel Barbosa during the winter transfer window.
‘Gabigol’ made the headlines last year by scoring 34 goals and providing 11 assists in 41 games on loan at Flamengo after his stint at the Serie A club didn’t work out.
According to Foot Mercato, Inter are willing to accept £21million for Barbosa’s services this month, but whether that will tempt the interested parties remains to be seen.
Antonio Conte has the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez to pick from upfront at the San Siro, so the 23-year-old seems to be on the market.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Amidst the talk surrounding West Ham’s need for a central midfielder, plenty have forgotten how thin David Moyes’ attacking options are.
For £21m, Barbosa could provide excellent value for what he has proven he’s capable of producing in front of goal.
There’s a big question of whether West Ham can fend off interest from the bigger clubs in the Premier League though.
The Brazil international’s move to East London is probably off the cards this month, with Moyes’ sights firmly set on a new midfielder.
However, he certainly seems to be on the market and could be an attainable target.
