Following on from Nathan Holland and Connor Coventry’s departures, Dan Kemp is the next young West Ham United star eyeing a loan move this month.
According to Football Insider, Kemp wants to leave in search of first-team football during the second half of the season.
The report adds that West Ham are actively probing for League Two clubs to take the exciting winger on a temporary basis before the deadline.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Now aged 21, I think it’s the right time for Kemp to get regular first-team football elsewhere because you get to the stage where youth level just isn’t enough.
He’s been incredibly impressive for West Ham’s successful Under-23 side this term, scoring 10 goals and assist four in 17 appearances.
Kemp could feel like he’s being left behind considering Holland and Coventry’s big steps to first-team football this month, so it’s no surprise he’s looking to do the same.
I believe a switch to a League Two or League One club will do the world of good for his development and will help him fulfil his potential.
The ceiling is high for Kemp, if his statistics are anything to go by anyway, and it’ll be interesting to see whether a move materialises for him.
