All the signs are looking positive in terms of West Ham United’s pursuit of Inter Milan striker Gabriel Barbosa.
According to Football Insider, the Hammers have submitted an initial offer and have ‘multiple agents’ working on the deal.
However, recent reports could prove to be bad news for West Ham and a major boost for the club he shone at on loan last year, Flamengo.
According to Corriere dello Sport, in Sport Witness, ‘Gabigol’ has significantly lowered his demands which has given the Brazilian club hope.
The report claims it’s thought that once wages are no longer a problem for Flamengo, it won’t be a problem to agree a fee with Inter.

West Ham don’t even get a mention in Corriere dello Sport’s report, which could be a worrying sign in their pursuit of the striker.
He enjoyed a phenomenal loan stint in his homeland Brazil last year, netting 32 goals in 43 appearances, so it’s likely he’d be interested in going back.
We believe if he wanted a challenge, West Ham should have enough to draw him to the London Stadium but Flamengo will be considered favourites for his signature.
This story could move rather quickly but if the club gathers enough funds to seal the deal, David Moyes may have to look elsewhere.
