Plenty of West Ham United fans will remember Nicolo Shira, the Italian journalist who broke the news that Sebastien Haller would be moving to the London Stadium.
Well, he’s back with some more exciting transfer news.
According to Shira, West Ham sent scouts to watch Sampdoria take on AC Milan last weekend, and in particular Gambia international Omar Colley.
The report claims Newcastle United scouts were also present as Colley thwarted the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Krzysztof Piatek in a 0-0 stalemate.
Although it doesn’t seem to be a priority, West Ham could be look to strengthen their ageing centre-back options soon.

The 6ft 3 powerhouse certainly will have impressed those watching if he kept Ibrahimovic quiet on his Milan return.
Aged 27, he’ll also be entering his prime years and could be an exciting addition either this month of in the summer.
You’d imagine the focus should be elsewhere in the January transfer window though, with a right-back, central midfielder and striker touted as priorities.
Angelo Ogbonna has enjoyed a terrific season so far but is on the wrong side of 30, as is Winston Reid who looks all-but done at the club.
It’ll be interesting to see where this story goes.
