As 2020 quickly approaches, West Ham United are expected to start off the year by bolstering the squad in a few different areas.
The January transfer window is never a straightforward time to complete business but West Ham’s dismal season so far has made the matter urgent.
According to Football Insider, the Hammers want to sign players in four different positions next month – goalkeeper, right-back, central midfielder and centre-forward.
The report adds that the club are ready to be one of the Premier League’s most active in the winter window, which includes fringe players also being offloaded from the wage bill.

It’s certainly interesting to hear West Ham want four new players in January and it’ll be even more intriguing to see if they can pull it off.
The truth is, the club need that sort of investment in the current squad though and the current campaign has proved that to a tee.
Despite the lacklustre season so far, it’s an exciting time to be a Hammers fan ahead of what promises to be a January transfer period with lots of movement.
If they recruit well, there’s no reason why we can’t see vast improvement next year.
