Former Leeds United star Paul Robinson has urged West Ham United to swoop for out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama.
The Kenya international has featured just four times for Spurs this season after failing to move away in the summer and could be set for a January exit.
Speaking to Football Insider, Robinson endorsed Wanyama’s ability to provide solid competition for Noble and Rice:
If that’s the type of player they’re looking at, he fits the bill. You know what you’re going to get from Declan Rice and Mark Noble, but there isn’t a lot of cover for them. Wanyama is a similar type of player as he has a great engine.

Wanyama has plenty of Premier League experience on his side and would prove to most likely be a low-risk signing for the Hammers.
If it’s not a regular starter West Ham are looking for, Wanyama would very much fit the bill as a rotation player but it all falls down to whether Spurs want to sell to their London rivals, or if the star wants minutes.
West Ham need to sign a midfielder in January and have been linked with an array of names, but Wanyama could be the safest bet.
