Following on from the uplifting 1-0 triumph against Chelsea at the weekend, West Ham United could soon be treated to another boost in the form of injury returns.
Lukasz Fabianski has been absent since September whilst Manuel Lanzini hasn’t been seen since the 3-0 defeat at Burnley almost a month ago.
According to Claret & Hugh, West Ham are increasingly confident of both players bolstering Manuel Pellegrini’s options by returning to action before 2020.
The report claims both stars are keeping pace with each other in the race for fitness and a Boxing Day return is now the main aim.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
Both Fabianski and Lanzini are important fixtures in Pellegrini’s current squad and will provide a major boost if they are fit for the trip to Crystal Palace on December 26.
The former has been especially missed amid the goalkeeping controversy at the London Stadium, but Lanzini will add much-needed quality going forward.
Many Hammers fans will hope that the impressive performance and result against Chelsea will prompt an upturn in form ahead of a crucial period of the season.
If West Ham can stay in relatively positive form for when the duo return, the season could well and truly be back on track.
