Former Leeds United and Manchester City ace Danny Mills has heaped praise on Michail Antonio after he returned to the West Ham United starting line-up against Chelsea.
The 29-year-old replaced Sebastien Haller after returning from a hamstring injury and has earned plaudits for his performance.
Mills, speaking to Football Insider, praised Antonio’s work-rate, in particular, as he completed more than 45 minutes for the first time this season at Stamford Bridge:
He’s got pace, he’s got energy about him, so that’s what he offers you, that’s what he can do. He works his socks off, he’s very, very hard working, we know that, so it gives them an opportunity and when someone’s prepared to put that in, that effort, put people under pressure, it causes problems, simple as that.

As technically gifted as Haller is, it must’ve been nice for West Ham fans to see their frontman show as much energy as Antonio did at the weekend.
The £40million club-record signing has been widely criticised for his work-rate or lack of, and Antonio’s display rightly drew plenty of praise.
It’ll be interesting to see how Manuel Pellegrini sets his side up at Wolves on Wednesday but one thing is for certain, Antonio deserves to start.
