With Albian Ajeti yet to convince since his £8million move from Basel in the summer, Sebastien Haller is crying out for some competition up front.
Manuel Pellegrini’s recent striker exodus has left the squad bare in that area, meaning Haller is being heavily pressured to supply crucial goals.
A name that has been linked with West Ham United for some time though is Inter Milan frontman, Gabriel Barbosa.
Now his successful loan stint at Flamengo has come to an end after netting 33 goals in 2019, West Ham and Crystal Palace are eyeing moves.
According to FC Inter News, both clubs are ready to offer up to £20million for the 23-year-old Brazilian but the Hammers are on the back foot due to uncertainty over Manuel Pellegrini’s future.

After scoring 33 goals during his spell at Flamengo, you wouldn’t blame ‘Gabigol’ if he fancied his chances of lighting up the European stage.
With West Ham in their current state though, a switch from the San Siro to a Premier League relegation battle doesn’t seem too appealing or realistic.
There’s no doubting his ability though and it’d be interesting to see how he does in the Premier League.
Regardless, Flamengo will be considered as favourites for his signature if he is to leave Inter in the near future.
