Burnley manager Sean Dyche has been one of the names linked with replacing Manuel Pellegrini as West Ham United manager, but that now seems off the cards.
Dyche is alongside Eddie Howe, David Moyes and Chris Wilder in being heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium, but it doesn’t seem feasible.
According to Claret & Hugh, West Ham are unlikely to move for Dyche due to the contractual costs involved with a potential deal.
The report claims the Hammers would have to pay £10million in compensation ahead of a survival bonus on top of his wage.
READ WEST HAM VERDICT
It has been previously suggested that it was Dyche himself who offered his services to West Ham, but it’s looking like an unrealistic outcome.
With no wins in two months of football, Pellegrini’s capability of remaining as the manager is rightly in question and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him depart soon.
From the names linked so far, it would appear that West Ham would prefer a British name to take charge if Pellegrini is to leave.
Upcoming fixtures against Chelsea and Wolves are bound to be decisive in the Chilean’s tenure as West Ham manager.
