Who would’ve thought at the start of this season that before Christmas, Everton and West Ham United would be battling for the services of David Moyes?
Well, that’s now a real possibility with both Marco Silva and Manuel Pellegrini on the brink of facing being sacked by their respective clubs.
According to Football Insider, both Everton and West Ham have made initial contact with their former manager about a potential return.
The report claims that Moyes would prefer taking the reins at Goodison Park though, where he enjoyed 11 years of success from 2002 to 2013.
His exploits at the Toffees ultimately earnt him the Manchester United job, so it’s no surprise he fancies returning for a second spell in charge.

Ultimately, I’m not sure many West Ham fans will be devastated by the news that Moyes doesn’t fancy a second spell at the London Stadium.
It’d seem like the club are regressing with the Scotsman back in the dugout, especially with the names linked already.
The likes of Eddie Howe and Chris Wilder would offer something different to what has been tried and tested over the past few years.
There are certainly better options out there, I feel, but the West Ham board obviously see something in Moyes.
