With West Ham United now in serious danger of dropping into the relegation zone, Manuel Pellegrini’s job seems more fragile than ever.
The Hammers currently dwell in 17th, just three points ahead of Norwich City amid a seven-match winless run, stretching back to September.
Many managerial names, some more interesting than others, have been linked with replacing Pellegrini, but there’s a familiar face popular amongst the board.
According to Football Insider, co-owner David Sullivan is pushing for David Moyes to return to the club after his departure last summer.
Moyes replaced Slaven Bilic as boss in November 2018 but wasn’t offered a contract extension at the end of season before Pellegrini was appointed.
The report claims Sullivan admires Moyes highly and wants him to be first-choice, despite being part of the board that let him go last year.

Moyes is also being courted by his former club Everton, with Marco Silva another manager on the brink.
Football Insider claim that West Ham have no immediate plans to offload Pellegrini and he’ll take charge against Chelsea on Sunday and Wednesday’s trip to Wolves.
That being said, if Silva is let go soon and Sullivan wants Moyes at the London Stadium, the Hammers may have to act quickly if they are to get their man.
There are plenty of alternative options should the Scot become unavailable though.
