Former Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez headlines a list of West Ham United’s potential replacements for Manuel Pellegrini following defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
According to the Guardian, West Ham have started to identify candidates ready to replace Pellegrini after the club’s shocking winless run extended to seven games at the London Stadium on Sunday.
The report claims Benitez has been long admired as well as ex-Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is also thought to be under consideration while Burnley’s Sean Dyche is reportedly interested in the job.

The Hammers are said to be worried about being tangled up in a relegation battle if the current run of form continues and in all honesty, you can’t blame them.
Pellegrini is understandably being given time to turn it around but if no signs of improvement are made, it’s unlikely he’ll be in east London for much longer.
Benitez is certainly the most high-profile candidate of the bunch, but the other three managers pose as ideal replacements with plenty of Premier League experience under their belts.
It’s worrying times to be a West Ham fan, especially looking at the games coming around the corner.
