Manuel Pellegrini could have a big team selection dilemma on his hands ahead of this weekend’s clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
There have been murmurs of the Chilean manager potentially dropping under-fire goalkeeping deputy Roberto due to his dire form whilst deputising for Lukasz Fabianski.
According to Football London’s Sam Inkersole, if Roberto is dropped for third-choice David Martin at the London Stadium, it should come as a major sign that his time at West Ham United is coming to an end.
This is a big call for Pellegrini as he has to decide whether to stick with Roberto or draft in third-choice David Martin. It might not be a popular decision but if Pellegrini does ditch Roberto then surely that’s him done at West Ham.

Although Roberto has massively underperformed so far, I don’t agree with claims that Martin should take his place.
He’s even more inexperienced than the Spaniard and there’s no proof to back the idea that he’d do a better job.
Roberto isn’t good enough for regular game time in the Premier League though, which makes the need for Fabianski to return soon rather high.
You’d expect the club will delve into the January transfer window in search for a new back-up ‘keeper regardless of Roberto’s input this weekend.
