As West Ham United’s miserable rut continues, speculation surrounding the January transfer window is growing and it seems like the club has found a priority area to address.
According to Football Insider, West Ham are plotting to sign a new goalkeeper with Premier League experience.
The report claims that the club doesn’t feel like Lukasz Fabianski’s back-up is strong enough, despite signing Roberto and David Martin on free transfers in the summer.
Adrian was released at the end of his contract before joining Liverpool and new no. 2 Roberto has attracted a bombardment of criticism for his performances this season.
Director of Football Mario Husillos is said to be leading the search for a new goalkeeper, despite signing the 33-year-old Spaniard.

This signing could be make-or-break for Husillos in terms of his job at West Ham – he can’t get it wrong again.
Roberto has been nothing short of a shambles at the London Stadium and many fans would be happy to see the back of him.
Hopefully, Fabianski isn’t out of action for much longer, with the Hammers’ dismal run of form strangely coinciding with his injury.
It’s fair to say a better back-up option is needed though, and it’s likely to be addressed in the new year.
