Michail Antonio could be making his long-awaited return to action against Tottenham Hotspur next weekend.
According to Football Insider, Antonio is set to hand West Ham United a major boost heading into the huge game at the London Stadium.
The versatile forward has returned to training following hamstring surgery which saw him sidelined since August and Manuel Pellegrini is ready to involve him.
If he comes through training without any issues during the international break, he could very well start against Mauricio Pochettino’s struggling side.
READ WEST HAM’S VERDICT
The London derby on 23 November presents a glorious opportunity for West Ham to return to winning ways in style after such a dismal run of results.
Tottenham are enduring a dire season, especially away from home and Antonio provides a monumental boost to the Hammers’ attacking prowess.
It’s likely, with Manuel Lanzini out injured, that the 29-year-old will return on the wing, rather than upfront, which will add a new threat to Pellegrini’s side going forward.
It’s unlikely he’d play a full game, you would’ve thought, but he’ll be desperate to make an impact nonetheless.
Antonio scored the only goal in last term’s 1-0 triumph at Spurs’ new home stadium – could he do the same this time around?
