Leicester City, Liverpool, Southampton, Sunderland, West Ham United and Wolves have all joined Celtic in being linked with promising attacker Bruno Davidson.
According to Football Insider, it’s the Foxes who are in pole position to sign him though, after taking the 15-year-old on trial over the past week in which he’s looked like a real talent.
Celtic had offered the young Scotsman a three-year contract but their chances of signing him now seem slim, with Brendan Rodgers looking to snap him up.
Davidson caught the eye playing for Edinburgh-based club Hutchinson Vale, which led to Liverpool and Southampton previously offering him a trial.
READ WEST HAM’S VERDICT
He’s recognised as a versatile attacker that can play in all four main attacking positions, so it seems like he bears great value at such a young age.
Davidson actually scored against West Ham at the weekend, featuring in a 3-1 win for Leicester which unsurprisingly impressed academy coaches.
With the recent arrival of Ademipo Odubeko and scintillating form of, most notably, Nathan Holland, the Hammers are building an array of exciting young attacking prospects.
The club may have to act fast if they are to prize Davidson away from the King Power Stadium though.
