There was a mass uproar on social media after Jonjo Shelvey fired Newcastle United into a 3-0 lead on just 51 minutes against West Ham United at the weekend.
The midfielder’s speculative free-kick turned out to be the winning goal at the London Stadium, but at the time made it seem like the Hammers were heading for a trumping on home turf.
Plenty of supporters took to social media after watching their side go 3-0 down to a club who had scored just six Premier League goals prior to the match:

READ WEST HAM’S VERDICT
Relegation is obviously far-fetched at this stage, but West Ham are playing like a team in a relegation dog fight and the results are no better.
It’s now six matches without a win in all competitions and things are looking bleak with Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Wolves and Arsenal coming up in the next five matches.
Lose to Burnley at Turf Moor this weekend and it could seriously be the beginning of the end for Manuel Pellegrini.
