Manuel Lanzini is close to agreeing terms with West Ham United on a new long-term contract, according to Sky Sports News.
The 26-year-old is yet to sign an extension with under 12 months left on his current deal, but talks have progressed well over the past few weeks and West Ham are ‘confident’ he’ll commit his future beyond 2022.
Lanzini has started the season off well, providing two assists in the opening three Premier League games with only Kevin De Bruyne and Trent Alexander-Arnold creating more chances so far.
Plenty of Hammers fans have taken to social media to rejoice about the news:

It can only be seen as a boost that one of the club’s best, and most creative players is willing to commit his long-term future.
Manuel Pellegrini’s squad is one of the most exciting the club has arguably ever had at its disposal, and Lanzini only strengthens it.
He’s well on course for an impressive season, statistics-wise, so hopefully, he can continue his form and help West Ham achieve their goals this season and beyond.
