With West Ham eyeing a seventh-place finish this season, which could see them achieve European qualification, there will be mixed reactions to where the club is in this form table – but why?

READ WEST HAM’S VERDICT
Although it’ll bring many people great pleasure in seeing West Ham in better form than top six teams Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, the Hammers’ league rivals are still better off.
Everton, Leicester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers are expected to be challenging the club for Europa League qualification but all three are ahead in the table, albeit on goal difference.
It must be an aim for West Ham to go one step further this season and distance themselves from the pack this season.
The squad is capable of doing so and you’ve got to question whether the leading stars will want to stay if the club isn’t progressing at all.
