Manuel Lanzini has been called up to Lionel Sebastian Scaloni’s Argentina squad for the two upcoming international friendlies.
However, plenty of West Ham United fans are struggling to be happy for him, and are instead stressing over the prospect of another long-term injury.
Argentina face Chile and Mexico at the start of September, and Lanzini should star for the first time since suffering an ACL injury before the 2018 World Cup, keeping him out until February this year.
He’s started this season in full fitness though and looks set to secure a new long-term deal at the London Stadium, and now a lot of Hammers supporters are praying he returns from international duty unscathed.

READ WEST HAM’S VERDICT
Lanzini is such a crucial part of the way Manuel Pellegrini wants to play at West Ham and to see him suffer another injury, short or long-term, whilst not even at the club would be devastating.
He’s a top-quality player and deserves to represent his country alongside the likes of Paulo Dybala and Lionel Messi while he can, as well as showing just how good he is in the Premier League.
Let’s hope he lights up the international stage before returning to the club and continuing his promising run of form.
