Plenty of West Ham United fans went into meltdown yesterday, as Manuel Pellegrini revealed that not only Felipe Anderson was a doubt to face Brighton & Hove Albion, but record signing Sebastien Haller could also miss out too.
Considering the Hammers are trying to bounce back after that crushing opening day defeat to Manchester City, and the fact they haven’t beaten Brighton in four games, you’d hope Pellegrini had his best stars to pick from.
Some were sceptical at the news after Anderson posted a video of him doing some cardio work earlier in the week, but these West Ham fans are convinced the Brazilian and Haller will play a part on Saturday afternoon:
Twitter: @WestHam “Quick, Sébastien, Felipe, get out of shot, they think you’re injured” (@BrxdWHUFC)

Some comments were slightly more hopeful than anything…

READ WEST HAM’S VERDICT
I have a sneaky suspicion that both players could actually feature at the AMEX if they’ve passed late fitness tests. If it was just a knock they both received against Man City, you’d think they’d be good to go.
Imagine how much of a boost it’s going to give the West Ham faithful if just one, nevermind both, are named on the teamsheet with an hour left until kick-off.
They say it’s the hope that kills you though, so I’d advise fans not to get too excited about the prospect of them playing a part…
