Plenty of West Ham United supporters are coming together to celebrate Adrian’s role in helping Liverpool lift the Super Cup last night, as he saved Tammy Abraham’s penalty in a 5-4 shoot-out win against Chelsea.
The Spanish goalkeeper left West Ham on a free transfer this summer before replacing Simon Mignolet as Alisson’s no. 2, and he’s already basking in European glory.
Unsurprisingly, after six years in East London, these Hammers fans are delighted for Adrian at the start of what could be a great period of his career at Anfield.

Adrian was very harshly penalised for a foul on Abraham after minimal contact to cost Liverpool the 2-1 lead in extra-time, but he’s also being reassured about the poor decision.

The 32-year-old made an array of saves throughout the match, leaving many reminiscing about his greatest times at Upton Park and the London Stadium.
He’s certainly an upgrade on Mignolet and now has a two-month period to prove himself to Jurgen Klopp and the Liverpool fans whilst Alisson is sidelined through injury – and he hasn’t made a bad start to it!
He’s technically already won more trophie in one start for Liverpool than he did in 150 for West Ham, but let’s not go too far into that…
