There are plenty of West Ham United supporters unhappy with Dean Saunders after he said Wayne Rooney would get into Manuel Pellegrini’s team and blasted the “signings who cost loads of money and contributed nothing.”
Rooney, now 33, has impressed during his stint in the MLS with DC United and will be joining Derby County as a player-coach in January, but fans haven’t taken kindly to the way Saunders put his statement across:

Some fans were in agreement that Rooney would walk into the West Ham team… five years earlier:

Rooney might be both England and Manchester United’s all-time top goalscorer, but the clock is ticking on his career now and it’d be crazy to see him getting centre stage of such a young, exciting West Ham attack.
It’s unknown which big-money signings Saunders was referring too, but as far as I’m aware, the Hammers haven’t had many huge financial flops in recent times?
I suppose whatever get’s people talking, right Dean?…
