West Ham United have had a terrific summer transfer window, in the eyes of many, but there are some supporters who can’t let go the fact that a certain area of Manuel Pellegrini’s squad looks particularly weak.
The arrivals of Sebastien Haller, Albian Ajeti and Pablo Fornals undeniably should fill you with plenty of confidence that the Hammers will be a terrific team to watch going forward this term.
However, bar the signing of promising centre-half Goncalo Cardoso, the defence has been left to how it looked last season which could prove problematic, and fans are making that very known.

There is plenty of positive supporters though, who are rightly looking forward to seeing the team back in action.

Yes, West Ham probably could improve on the defence but if there’s anything I’ve learnt this summer, it’s that every single fine detail can’t be addressed in one transfer window.
The Hammers have reinvigorated their attack for years to come with the arrivals of Haller, Ajeti and Fornals and that should be celebrated, as it has been.
Hopefully, the attacking stars can impress and prove their worth this season, and then Pellegrini can look into rebuilding the defence. It’ll certainly be something worth focusing on next summer, with Winston Reid and Angelo Ogbonna both 31.
