Watford have made a breakthrough in negotiations for Rennes winger and West Ham United target Ismaila Sarr, so if the Hammers are serious in their interest, they must make their move immediately.
According to L’Equipe, cited by GFFN, the Ligue 1 club have accepted a bid worth €30million plus €5million in bonuses and there’s a five-year contract on the table to join Watford, with West Ham and Napoli set to miss out.
With this deal looking likely to go through, the Hammers must move quickly if they are to swoop in and steal Sarr from their Premier League rival’s grasp.

It wouldn’t be an overreaction to state that Manuel Pellegrini’s options on the wing are rather scarce, with the injury-stricken Andriy Yarmolenko, Michail Antonio, Felipe Anderson and Robert Snodgrass those available.
Sarr wouldn’t only add a different dimension to the attack as a right-footed 21-year-old capable of fitting in on either flank and upfront, but he’s also an experienced Senegal international with 21 caps.
The only issue is if the Hammers are struggling to cough up £8million to bring in Basel striker Albian Ajeti, how are they going to afford a player of Sarr’s value? They especially won’t be able to test the waters if Rennes already have an agreement in place with another club.
He’d be a great acquisition and it’d be a shame to see him move to a rival, but time could be running out.
