Manuel Pellegrini has expressed his delight with how many goals West Ham United scored during pre-season, giving supporters a real reason to be full of excitement and optimism heading into the 2019-20 season.
Speaking to whufc.com ahead of the Hammers’ Premier League opener against champions Manchester City on Saturday, Pellegrini seems confident that fans will enjoy watching his side this term:
I am very happy with the amount of goals we are scoring. For me, the most important thing is the way we are getting forward and I am sure the fans will enjoy the way we play.

Pellegrini’s right – West Ham supporters should be excited because I truly believe the side will be playing some excellent football this season.
Let’s start with Sebastien Haller. The 25-year-old bagged 15 goals and nine assists in the Bundesliga – that’s two more goal involvements than striker partner Luka Jovic, who sealed a €60million move to Real Madrid.
He’ll be on the end of the attacks though, with build-up play set to be orchestrated by the likes of Pablo Fornals, Manuel Lanzini, Felipe Anderson and Andriy Yarmolenko. There will be so much creativity on show, that it’d be a shock if the club’s goal-scoring record didn’t catch eyes.
