West Ham have failed with a bid to sign West Brom’s Salomon Rondon after a cash-plus-players bid was rejected.
According to reports on the Daily Star, West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is interested in reuniting with the forward after they spent time working together at Malaga.
However, reports suggest the offer they came in with, £10 million in cash and two players, was rejected by the Championship side.
Last season, Rondon was on loan with Newcastle and impressed with 11 goals in 32 games. Slaven Bilic knows that the player will have to be moved this summer as he looks to bring in some extra funds in order to sign his own players.

Newcastle may have been interested in signing Rondon after he performed so well under Rafael Benitez, so Pellegrini and the bosses at West Ham put their offer in quickly, amid the uncertainty at St James’ Park.
It was said to have included Sam Byram and Jordan Hugill, just a couple of hours after Benitez’s exit, with the club hoping to seal a deal before Newcastle had a chance.
The Hammers will have to re-evaluate their offer if they are set on signing Rondon.
